The MicK microphone was specially developed for amplifying bass recorders.
It picks up the sound of the instrument directly from the inner bore. This has the advantage that almost no ambient noise is picked up. Even in a louder environment, the bass recorder can be picked up and amplified cleanly.
The cable is a mini XLR that is compatible with the AKG pinout.
This allows the instrument to be operated with a transmitter unit, which gives additional freedom of movement on stage, or via a mixing console with phantom power.
To install MicK in your instrument, a small hole is drilled in the head. A small threaded sleeve is inserted into this hole.
But you don't need to worry. Your recorder already has several holes drilled in it and without them, its usability would already be very limited. This work should of course be carried out in a specialist workshop.
The MicK can be fitted and removed from the instrument in a few simple steps.
Once the MicK has been removed, a small plug, which is included in the scope of delivery, seals the hole in the head.
